Professional Summary

First-Class Honours graduate (2024) in Pharmacology from Sa’adu Zungur University (formerly Bauchi State University Gadau), Bauchi State, Nigeria. I work as a general pharmacologist, applying experimental and computational methods to problems spanning computer-aided drug design (CADD), neuropharmacology, immunopharmacology, and environmental toxicology.

My research experience spans laboratory-based, computational, and community/hospital work. The methods I use (network pharmacology, molecular docking, ethnobotany, behavioural assays, HPLC, and epidemiological surveys) transfer readily across therapeutic areas. I am particularly interested in the interactions between drugs, the immune system, neurological disorders, and environmental toxicology, and in improving the quality of medicines and standards of care.

Research Focus

Drug Discovery and Development

Target identification, QSAR modelling, virtual screening, pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics, and characterisation of plant-derived bioactive compounds.

Environmental Toxicology

Toxicology of environmental exposures, medicines quality, antimicrobial resistance, and public-health pharmacology.

Cancer Chemotherapy

Network pharmacology and molecular docking studies of natural products against cancer targets, resistance-mechanism analysis, and combination immunotherapy research.

Neuropharmacology

Brain energy metabolism, glucose transport in neurodegeneration, and behavioural evaluation of anxiolytic activity.

Immunopharmacology

Innate and adaptive immunity, vaccines, cytokines, and host-pathogen pharmacology.

Bioinformatics

Sequence analysis, chromatogram interpretation, network pharmacology-based target and pathway mapping, and computational data mining in support of drug discovery.
